DEVELOPMENT AND PRODUCTION

The development of our products and all prototype construction takes place centrally at our headquarters in Triefenstein. Design, simulations, and functional testing are closely integrated with production, allowing ideas to be quickly transformed into tangible samples and working prototypes. This short innovation cycle allows us to quickly validate design changes, optimize technical solutions in a practical way, and accelerate production readiness.

Our in-house machinery is available alongside development: On modern machining machines from DMG MORI AG, we manufacture housing components such as upper and lower housings, handguards, rail systems, and pistol stocks with high precision. Mechanical finishing, including vibratory finishing and robot-assisted glass bead blasting, is carried out directly at the production stations to ensure surface quality and dimensional accuracy. This close proximity of design, prototyping, and production enables a high degree of quality control and ensures that development results do not have to be adjusted later in series production.

Firearms production and the final assembly of various components also take place in Triefenstein. This allows us to maintain control over the entire process chain, from the initial idea through the prototype phase to final assembly. This vertical integration increases our ability to innovate, shortens delivery times, and ensures that new products can go into series production quickly, efficiently, and with consistently high quality.

FOCUS ON MOLD MAKING AND POLYMER PRODUCTS

In addition to our machining capabilities, HERA boasts a powerful polymer division: We currently produce high-quality components for the global market with over 36 active injection molds. The consistent in-house development of our polymer components and our manufacturing base in Germany clearly differentiate us from the competition and ensure short innovation cycles and high quality standards.

As a manufacturing partner for polymer production, HERA works closely with a long-standing partner in Marktheidenfeld, approximately 6 km away. There, our injection molds are not only stored and maintained, but also used productively. This partner has machines across the entire tonnage spectrum, its own tool and mold shop, and extensive development resources. This collaboration allows us to optimally integrate development and series production processes: rapid prototyping, tool optimization, and production scaling go hand in hand—always with German expertise and a high level of process reliability.

INTERNATIONAL

We have been exporting continuously to the North American market since 2010. With the founding of HERA LLC in 2016, we were able to significantly expand our presence in the USA and sustainably strengthen existing structures. As a reliable supplier to renowned US wholesalers such as RSR and Sport South, we confirm that quality and innovation are convincing even in one of the most demanding markets.

At the same time, we have consistently expanded our international sales structure: Today, we supply customers on several continents and work with a dense network of importers and resellers. This global presence enables us to quickly meet regional market demands while efficiently utilizing development and production capacities in Germany and the USA.

Our international growth is based on a clear strategy: technical excellence, reliable partnerships, and fast logistics. This ensures that HERA products are available worldwide, with the same commitment to performance, quality, and service that has made us successful locally.

STORY

HERA GmbH was founded in Lower Franconia by Thomas Nöth in 2008. After just two successful years of business, we established our presence in the European and US markets. In 2010, we converted to a GmbH (limited liability company), and in 2016, HERA LLC was founded in Salt Lake City, Utah. Starting out as a small company, we have grown continuously: Our US logistics center in South Concord Park (Bluffdale) alone now offers more than 2,500 m³ of storage capacity. Together with our production and manufacturing sites in Germany, our internal capacity reaches almost 5,000 m³. To ensure our long-term competitiveness, we added an additional 7,000 m² site in 2019, further strengthening our expansion and production capabilities.
